Our Story
Maison Saint Charles Parfums was founded by husband-and-wife duo Charles and Whitney Bradshaw as an ode to creativity and luxury.
For Charles, the connection to fragrance began long before MSCP was even a thought. In the 90s, discovering fragrances like Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male and Givenchy Pi sparked a fascination with the way scent could create evoke emotion, create memory, and transform identity. What he didn't know at the time was that there was a place for someone like him within the world of perfumery or that he could one day become a perfumer himself.
That realization came much later.
For the past five years, Charles has devoted himself to the art and science of fragrance, learning through self-study, workshops, and hands-on experience. Without traditional pathways into the fragrance industry, he built his knowledge from the ground up, learning raw materials, composition, balance, and the technical craft behind a finished perfume. Today, every Saint Charles Parfums fragrance is conceptualized, formulated, tested, and refined in-house.
What began as a personal search for distinctive, meaningful fragrance evolved into an independent perfume house built by hand.
Together, Charles and Whitney oversee every aspect of Maison Saint Charles Parfums. From fragrance creation and bottling to labeling, packaging, fulfillment, and customer care, their hands are directly involved at every stage. This hands-on approach allows the house to remain intentional, personal, and uncompromising in its pursuit of quality.
At the heart of Charles's journey is a desire to make the world of perfumery feel more accessible. He hopes his story can serve as a reminder, particularly to young people who look like him or come from communities like his, that there are Black perfumers, that creativity can become a career, and that there are possibilities worth discovering even when you have never seen someone like yourself doing them before.
